Sneak Peek

Back again for another sneak peek behind the scenes of the 2012 National. There's so much planning that it seems that some need a quick nap during the meetings to get through. I'm sure Donna Blair was just looking down. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink. Maybe Maria should wake her up.

You also can see our ruby red aprons being handed out.  You'll be able to spot your committee members easily at the convention with these bright aprons.

Not only has your committee been hard at work planning (and napping!), they have been hard at work sorting garage sale donations too. I've included a few shots of the sorting at Maria's house. When you have to rent a truck to move it all, you know you have a lot of goodies! If you look carefully you can see some of the treasures you can buy at the Garage Sale.

I'm already seeing some goodies here I can't live without. Count on seeing me at the garage sale! Can't wait to see you soon.

Busy, busy, busy.

Busy, busy, busy.  The time is slipping away. I feel like the White Rabbit from Alice fame trying to not be late.
The time is slipping by and we have as of today only 52 days until the official opening of the Convention.  And even less for the pre-Convention Workshops.  Oh my!
As fast as things are going I wanted to post a few more pictures from our Mooresville meeting in May because before you know it, your committee will be meeting again this month and then the Convention!
I’m always amazed and humbled when I work with such a great group of volunteers on a Convention, Houseparty, State Day or Mini Weekend at their enthusiasm, creativity and skills. I’ve personally volunteered with other organizations planning similar functions, and I can assure you that they don’t go nearly as smoothly as NAME events or are nearly the fun.
Below are our fearless leaders, Rachel Bonney and Lynn Frank.  And a special guest visitor of Mr.Ted  E. Bear for Victory Junction.  Victory Junction is our outreach project for the Convention. Visit http://www.victoryjunction.org/ for more information regarding the wonderful service they perform for terminally and chronically ill children.

Here’s a picture of Susan Coyne looking at her computer.  Susan is our Registration Chair and reigning Princess of Spreadsheets for the committee.  Any question we ask of her, she has a spreadsheet for an answer.  Again, it is SO wonderful to work with such dedicated and organized volunteers.

Here's a shot of some of the other committee members working hard or laughing hard.  Sometimes it is hard to tell the difference!

Can’t wait to see you soon at the Convention!
